A north Brisbane couple who made a pregnancy pact to inseminate their 15-year-old daughter after bearing two biological children with congenital diseases have been sentenced to jail.
The girl's 39-year-old mother and 35-year-old stepfather, who cannot be identified under Queensland law, penned a handwritten "contract" with the girl, before the man began having daily sex with her over two-and-a-half months in late 2006.
The couple also tried to inject her with the man's sperm in a bid to conceive, Brisbane's District Court heard yesterday.
The woman, who advised the man on the best sexual positions to help impregnate her daughter, will serve just six months behind bars after pleading guilty to one count of maintaining a sexual relationship with a child. Her husband was handed an eight-year term for the same charge.
